03 · Long-term commitment and surrender
Insurance is usually a long-term commitment. Early surrender can be costly and surrender value may be less than total premiums paid; policy loans, withdrawals and charges can reduce cash value or cause a policy to lapse. Premium financing carries interest-rate and currency risk, and banks may call for additional collateral.
04 · No sales, no referrals
This site sells no insurance or financial product, accepts no applications and quotes no individual product. Applications, quotations and policy servicing should be sought from Hong Kong insurers or licensed insurance intermediaries, verified through the Insurance Authority's register of licensed intermediaries.
05 · Mainland and cross-border readers
Mainland Chinese residents must sign Hong Kong policies in person in Hong Kong and complete the Important Facts Statement for Mainland policyholders. Cross-border funds, foreign-exchange, tax and reporting obligations depend on personal circumstances; obtain independent advice in your own jurisdiction. This site carries on no insurance sales or promotion in Mainland China.

Sayings such as wealth never lasts three generations or 70% of families lose their wealth by the second generation are weakly sourced; where cited, this site states their origin and methodological problems. Academic findings are limited to their samples and periods and do not predict any individual family's outcome. Policy bonuses and dividends are non-guaranteed; this site cites no illustrated figures.
